Prophecies:
1) W/Mo. When GW went live, I had a shield as my preorder item, so I felt obligated to use it. I'm kind of disappointed now, but at least I can do runs and farming with her.
2) N/Me. This is by far my favorite, and most-played character. I'm now just farming skill points (FoW / UW quests) so I can finish unlocking all the skills from both professions -- almost there.
3) Me/E. My second-favorite, although I will probably change her secondary to Monk, so I can finish unlocking those skills. Previously was a Mo/R, then a PvP slot.
4) was: E/Mo, with several hours invested in completing everything through the Titan Quests. But the nerf basically killed all interest. Currently: R/Me, but will likely become a PvP slot.

Factions:
For beta, I'll be trying a Rt/A or Rt/N (depending on if unlocks are going to be kept unlocked after Beta). Once live:
5) Probably a Rt/N, if I like the combination.
6) It's about time I returned to Monking. Possibly a Mo/Rt, Mo/N or Mo/Me.

1: 20 R/mo/w/me my first character, with a name taken from characters ive used since diablo 1. before i got GW i pictured (like many RPGs) a ranger being just that; a ranger. a warrior skilled in both bow and melee attacks, wearing light armor, and using stealth and ambush attacks to gain an advantage. when i realized this wasnt the case i switched over to warriors, but my ranger has regained some favor with the sheer fun and versatility they have later on.

2: 20 w/x akhilleus, my seccond GW character, was origionally designed to be a perma-presearing dye farming character...instead he came post 2 days later, and is the principle character i use in trades. i believe warriors, when used propperly, are one of the better classes in GW. while not as versatile as rangers, they are essential roles on the team, generally either being the principle damage-absorber in PvE, or the principle damage-dealer in PvP. this guy is probably one of the most expensive characters in GW, but he deserves nothing less .

3: 20 w/mo/e my axe warrior, only my third character, and dispite the fact that he was created 7 months ago, and bears about 1.3 million in customzied equipment (including armor) goes by virtually unused (a fact which several people i know view as a shame). the main reason he exists is simply because i needed someone to store my axes, and use them.

4: 20 mo/w/n/me my main monk; initially created because of a massive guild-shortage of monks, the role eventually changed into a 55 monk; which is why she has all the equipment...but has only done 55 monking to test builds rather that churn a profit.
she also makes one hell of a monk for pve/pvp.

5: 17 w/r my female-sword warrior, still in progress, shes being made casually, simply because i already have 2 other lvl 20 ascended wars, and i dont really need another one. i made her for ascetic reasons, and to house my soon to come "1-off-perf" collection.

6: 20 e/mo inherited character (inherited at lvl 20 through another account). despite having the necissary skills, i refuse to use this character in pve; instead i only use them in pvp, and very, very seldomly. because it is an inherited char, i dont really feel like she's my own, and so i made my own ele.

7: 20 n/me/mo my 1st necro; and my first character since my ranger to actually really play the game, as opposed to rushing through it. this is my only character to never recieve a run (a few minor runs from a town to the next mission area are being excluded, but i played the majority of the quests).
i must say; necros are as fun as hell, and SEVERELY underrated. it is absolutly astounding how many people will not have a necro in their party, and when they do they expect them to be either an MM or batery nec (the build i use is blood-spike/br) and to be honest, i am offended.
my blood-spike necro can do more damage than eles, and do it constantly whereas an ele is crying in a corner in the fetal position after 3 minutes of combat, due to energy shortages (unless i BR them) a well-designed blood-spiker can spike pretty much continuously for a good 5-10 minutes strait, without running out of energy. and unlike with eles, their spikes ignore armor, not to mention a blood-spike necro needs less healing due to HP stealing skills. playing a necro redefined the word "spiker" in the eyes of this player. necro>ele

8: 15 e/me a brand-new character, still in development i plan on making this chick able to do any kind of ele build; and suceed at it.

9: 11 me/mo a brand-new character, still in development, made because a mesmer main class is currently the only character i cannot play, at all.

10: 11 w/mo my hammer-war, brand-new char, still in development. made because i already had a sword war, and an axe war, so what the hell? why not gof or a threesome?

11: 20 mo/w an inherited monk; totally unused. mine is so far ahead in skills and equipment its just not worth the effort. only reason he hasnt been deleted is i dont believe in deleting chars (how would you like it if someone deleted you? ).

i currently have 5 character slots (that have been filled by lvl 1s) that are not in use. i have plans for them, but they are copies of characters i already have, on altnernate accounts, to better round-off each one to be more indipendantly successful.

Hmm, haven't really planned it out.

For prophecies:

w/mo - sometimes his secondary changes. Solo farming character and henchie tank (mo for unlimited rez and hex/condition removal - something the henchies are terrible at). For grouping with other people regularly switches to a a ranger secondary (stance tank). This is my "primary" and "social" character, that is I picked a model that looks as close to me as possible and has my real first name as his - as such is a permament character. Also my only male character. I expect to try some /rit /a combinations with him also.

mo/whatever - pure henchie player, primary smiter secondary healer so I don't care much about the secondary profession. Before the AI update was a real power house, now is OK. Uses henchies as main weapons and smites for spiking damage and picks up where Mhenlo/Alesia can't keep up. Still a pretty decent henchie build, before was really good.

ele/n - She's close to ascention, been enjoying the char quite a bit. Will probably switch to a /mo after ascention (again, mostly a henchie build and /mo seems to fill most of the slack the henchies have too well, will keep the /n for grouping with people).

I use my fourth slot for random character, usually a pre-searing only char that goes forward when enough dyes are found.

As for factions, hmm.

I suppose one assasin primary and one ritualist primary. Two new slots, two new professions - why not? I suspect I will like one over the other and delete one and play with that slot. Will mostly go for the "random" approach for the secondary, just play it for a little while and see what I can do and if I like it. I usually don't map a character out to begin with, I "birth" the character and see where he/she goes in thier life (to note, I'm not a PvP person - generally like the roleplaying aspect of these games).

I may even try the a/rit combo you rolled your eyes at - no real reason why it can not work. I dunno, will have to play around for a while first.

E/X - All secondaries. The character I'm best with.
Me/N - My Mez. The character I like most.
Mo/X - Unfinished.
PvP - PvP.

A/X - I like myself, ya know.
Ri/E - I just like it...

Lol. It seems 90%of people are going to make a "Ri/xxx" or a "A/xxx" for factions. I predict lots of balanced groups then...

I'm, gonna stick with another Necro. I know how they work, and the new armours look delicious. maybe a N/Ri though :P

CURRENT:
R/Me: (never play the secondary) Lili is my favorite character to hunt up salvage materials and to help new ppl with missions. She's unpretentious yet very powerful in a quiet, steady way. Has two Titan quests and she'd totally done with the game.

N/Mo: Catrin has acted as party healer or co-healer with both necro and monk skills nearly the entire game. Death and Life in the same package . She finished the game as a Blood necro but recently I've switched to Curses just for fun.

Me/N: Briallan is nearing the end of the game. She runs partial shut-down and the rest sheer damage, as a rule, but can switch to pure shut-down or energy denial as needed. Her big sister (my first mesmer who 'retired') always had trouble getting into groups but there seems to be more awareness of the usefulness of mesmers now.

Mo/N: Cait is nearly pure healer and has undergone several changes throughout the game (nearly finished). She also is a Curser when she has the option. 55 in the future? Not likely.

E/R: Teva is only in Kryta but proving to be highly efficient as an Aeromancer with geomancer tendencies. Heck, even her bow is a lightening one! Again, she's fun to play and the combination of skills continues to wow me.

RETIRED:
W/R: Miss Ruby finished the game and was a highly efficient warrior, but not as much fun as the others.

Me/Mo: A good combination, but Seren and I had a lot of growing pains. I concentrated on her mesmer skills but really didn't know how to play a mesmer and she retired when she got to the Desert.

E/X: Two elementalists before Teva retired at mid level. I found them utterly boring.

Mo/N: I wish I'd never deleted Faolan. He was a Cursing Smiter in good old-fashioned Celtic tradition . He will need to be rebuilt.

N/Mo: Saffir was awesome to play but in the end, I couldn't figure out how to beat her dopple. Her sister Catrin, however, was able to Ascend on the second try with damned near the same skill set. ::shrugs::

FACTIONS:
R/Rit: I have a placeholder from the first Beta event, but I don't know if I'll use her or change.

Rit/X: I like the look of the female ritualist and the skill sets sound intriguing.

W/R: Miss Ruby's sister will also be a strength based build rather than the usual stance tank.

Mo/N or Mo/Rit or Rit/Mo: Yep, Faolan will be rebuilt.

LOLzzz! Is this the official, "IM A NERD, LOOK AT ME" thread? Umm, the fact that we are "planning" on what classes to create for GW:F is just HILARIOUSLY nerdy. And im right up there with yall!! WOOHOO!!!!

Ch1 Prophecies::
W/X :: PvE tank/dmg dealer (farming, questing). Occasional PvP.
R/X :: PvE Trapper, Barrager, Interrupter, Dmg dealer. PvP.
Me/X :: PvE Nuking/Anything. PvP Anything.
Mo/X :: PvE UW/FoW/Tombs (Healing, Prot, Both, Tank). PvP.

Ch2 Factions::
Assasin/X :: Probly Assasin/Warrior, for possibilities of HUGE DPS.
Ritualist/X :: Probly Ritualist/Elementalist, for stationary battle spirits + AoE spells.

Ya ya ya, i dont have a dedicated PvP slot, bah! Thats why i put X as secondary classes, my first 4 characters from ch1 can nearly fill any roll, cept a few elites. However i may end up not liking the Ritualist, so i might do dedicated PvP as that slot. We will seeee......!!!

enjoy.

Sweet, I was thinking of starting a thread like this!

Prophecies:
N/Me: Elinora Ne Sangre. Eli's my first character, and I've been playing her just shy of a month and a half. She's currently in the desert heading for Ascension. Her role changes based on the party I travel with; my favorite way to play her is using primarily Curses and Domination magic. It requires traveling in a group (sadly, usually henchmen), but it works well.
Mo/R: Imden Samalda. I actually love Imden, but I needed to play one or the other for a while if I was going to get anywhere at all! He needs some adjustments; I started playing him before I really understood the game (and primarily the concept of henchmen), so I tried to make him able to solo a lot. Which he can do certainly, but it's going to bite me in higher levels I'm sure. I don't see any other Monks that look quite like him, and that always makes me happy.

Factions
This is a bit harder; I really love assassins (anyone who has known me for any length of time has heard me say that I'd be one if I was in better shape), and any time an assassin is an option I take it. However, I know that *everyone* is going to be playing them and I'm one of those stubborn people who has to do something different. So now I'm looking at...

Me/? - I love Eli's Me secondary stuff, so I'm going to give this a try. I haven't decided on a secondary, although I am thinking assassin or ritualist just so I can try those out.

At some point, I'd love to try out an A/W, and might do it for the heck of it just to see how it feels. Worst case is that it doesn't work out.

-Eli

Currently:
E/Me - Nuker(don't really play it since nuke nerf)
N/Mo - MM
Mo/Me - Heal/Prot monk, depending on situation
PvP character

Factions:
Rt/x - I might go Rt/Mo or Rt/R. I mean, I already play a monk... I don't want another healer... and I do want some new Cantha Pet... heck, it might even go Rt/N
A/W - A&W makes good creme soda, root beer, and burgers. Thus I'll own one of my own.

R/mo Radioactive Cheese <--favorite character. So versatile, farm, trap, tank, interrupts, favorite thing to do: anthing with the bow, don't like trap farming so much.

W/mo Radioactive Boots felt like making a wammo. It's pretty fun. May use for farming soon (lvl 17).

El/x R A C Hated him, boring, 'nuff said. deleted

Mo/x Radioactive Health boring also, deleted

N/mo Radioactive Decay Noticing any trends yet? I made this guy to be a mm after giving my el/x the axe.

pvp slot- R A C -rarely used

Factions:
No clue, will probably remake one or both of my necro and warrior.
definite plans to try both Rit and Sin this weekend. My ranger will never be deleted. His name is the long version of my pvp and other multiplayer game name, R A C. Also has 15k druids dyed green. Working on 15k drakescale, but getting a sup vigor next.
